WIND

Looking for 1-5 artists. Our festival site is in a valley that seems to be windy most of the time. We want to celebrate this as one of the main features of the festival. Artists are invited to explore the concept of sculpture activated by wind in some way to produce movement, color or sound. Medium is optional, but the piece must be able to the anchored without extensive damage to the surrounding environment, while ensuring that it is capable of withstanding unpredictable wind patterns, speeds and intensity without coming loose or projecting debris around the site. Size is basically unlimited, however impact must be minimized. There must be adequate attention given to fire prevention in the plan. Special attention will be given to artists utilizing recycled or reclaimed materials.

Your proposal must include drawings or renderings of your sculpture, estimated spatial footprint, technological or power requirements and setup time

TREE MAJIK

Looking for 5-10 artists. Artists are invited to explore, using any medium of their choice the concept – Tree MajiK – hidden treasures, moments and compositions designed to be experienced both in day and night. These will be placed/suspended in the aspen trees in the magic groves peppering our site.
These can utilize light, but cannot require a generator. Size of footprint is unimportant, but safety of the strategy used to secure and place the pieces without damaging the trees or forest floor, or creating any kind of fire hazard is of utmost priority. They can be funny, weird, beautiful, intricate or geometric but the only mandatory theme is that the sculpture must morph in some way throughout the festival, whether that is from day to night, or utilizing addition or subtraction the process of evolution must be explained in the proposal

Your proposal must include drawings or renderings of your piece, estimated spatial footprint, technological or power requirements and setup time

THE TUNNEL

Looking for 1-3 digital light artists to collaborate on a light installation in one area of the festival, a tunnel made entirely of trees, leading in to the main grove where the soundsystem and dance floor are located. Ideally a system that requires minimal power would be utilized as we do not want another big generator running. Installation should have appeal in the daytime as well.
